Dream Cookies

I miss New York.  However, all summer I yearned for VB. The agrestic charms of Victoria Beach have never been wasted on me, and so it was with great anticipation that I packed my bags, hopped into a car with Meghan, and paid my cottage a long overdue visit this past weekend. Baked goods, beautiful neighbours, and bike rides.  What a way to live.

Déjeuner sur l'Herbe

When my three months in New York were drawing to a close, I was sad to be leaving my friends and family. Fashion week was just about to start, and I was headed back to Canada. My good friend Laura had been vacationing in Winnipeg, but was returning to Montreal just before I was to be arriving back on Canadian soil. So many missed connections! I missed my spoon, so I took initiative... I hopped on the Amtrak Adirondack and was in Montreal before either of us knew it.

After recovering from Sarde's birthday party, I decided to spend the remainder of my last weekend in Winnipeg doing absolutely nothing with two good pals.

We started off May Long with a shitty party that turned into an amazing blackout afterparty where you could smoke inside! What a novelty.

Sarde's birthday party was a fantastic time from start to finish...

Case in point: not one of us could make a normal face past 9pm.

Oh, that reminds me... if you need your hair fixed up, Julia (the girl with the curly mane of hair just above) is a whiz. Call 957-1100 and ask for Julia. If they can't find her, tell them to check the loading dock - we're probably taking a nap together.
